SEPTEMBER IN CHAMPOLUC – THE BEST TIME IN THE MOUNTAINS

Hotel L’Aiglon: central Champoluc base for late‑summer walks, colours and quiet

Dates: 1 – 27 September 2026
Stay formula: Bed & Breakfast only (room + breakfast) · no in‑house restaurant · full freedom for dinner

September in Val d’Ayas is a special moment—made for those who love the mountains when they slow down again. Days grow shorter, the air turns clearer and colours begin to glow: meadows fade to gold, larches prepare for autumn, and the forests change day by day.

In Champoluc the pace softens. Lifts gradually start to close, high‑altitude huts become quieter, and the valley fills with gentle light and calm. It’s an ideal time for scenic walks, low‑ and mid‑altitude hikes, nature photography and genuine rest.

Hotel L’Aiglon, a 3‑star hotel in central Champoluc, is the perfect base to enjoy September without rushing: you can start on foot straight from the hotel, follow forest trails, or simply enjoy coming back each evening to a welcoming place where silence is part of the experience.

September isn’t a season to chase—it’s a season to listen. Even a few days are enough to truly switch off and reset.
